Please let us know the name of the game which your daughter is trying to play.
Have you tried updating the video card drivers for your computer?
Is she trying to play online from some website or is that the one which is being installed on your computer?

Please give us more infromation on the issue so that we would be able to understand it better and work on the same.
Right click and go in to the properties of the shortcut and find the box where it says 'run' change it from normal to full screen.
If this doesn't help, configure the following setting and check:

1) Right Click on the shortcut icon of the games, click on Properties.
2) Under the shortcut tab, go to run .
3) From the dropdown list, select Maximize .
4) Click apply to apply the setting.
5) Click Ok to confirm the change.

Also, I would suggest you to try by changing the hardware acceleration, the following are the steps to change hardware acceleration.

Mar 20, 2011 How do you change the defual screen resolution because in most games the screen resolution automaticly goes down to 800x600 or 640x480 And I have ATI CCC 11.2 installed on my computer and my maximum resolution is 1280x800 and my computer is a laptop.

1. Go to Start > Control Panel
2. In control panel window, click on Appearance and Personalization
3. Click on Personalization > Display Settings, and then click Advanced Settings.
4. Go to Troubleshoot tab, and then click Change Settings.
Note: Change Settings will be disabled if the graphics card drivers do not support disabling hardware acceleration.
5. Move the Hardware Acceleration slider until it is one notch to the right of None. This is the basic acceleration setting.
6. Click OK twice, and then close the window.
