Error Code 0x80004005 Windows 7
Can someone please bug Microsoft about the installation problems with Windows 7 SP1? I'm trying to update my 32-bit laptop, and have been unable to ever since the SP was released because it always gives me the 80004005 error, which to my understanding is a very vague error. Searching on various forums, I have noticed that this is a relatively common problem, but I haven't seen much response from Microsoft. There are a number of suggested solutions (including turning off security software, running the Windows Update troubleshooter, running something called the System Update Readiness Tool from Microsoft--nothing works. This is really silly, considering that Microsoft essentially has released a fix that needs to be fixed. Sounds almost like the whole Phone 7 update debacle.
